 SILICA - FREE REVOLUTION

Mineral Revolution

True inspiration is before our eyes, every day. And it comes from nature. Lapitec started from here, from careful observation of the world, to which we invite you to return today with a newsletter inspired by the realm of minerals in their natural or – of course – sintered state.

From nature, for nature

Lapitec conveys all the perfection of nature on its surface, without additions. A material created from a mixture of minerals fired at very high temperatures, without resins or inks. The look and feel recall the warmth of natural stone, but with superior technical characteristics and resistance. At the end of its life cycle, the material can be fed back into the production cycle, respecting the planet and its resources.

On mineralogy

In the early 1800s, English naturalist and illustrator James Sowerby published British & Exotic Mineralogy, an illustrated catalogue of over 700 mineral species. Sowerby’s studies now make up a valuable library viewable online, thanks to the work of Nicholas Rougeux who restored the original colours of the drawings and digitised the contents.

Silica-free revolution

The composition of Lapitec is mineral (pictured, Hematite, part of the mix), and thanks to years of research and development it is now also totally free of crystalline silica. A technological revolution that makes the material safe for anyone who works with it and for all people in general.
